At Spa World™, we make it as easy as possible to buy, install and own a spa. One service we offer that others may not is a special set-up service called the Platinum Handover.

What is the platinum handover package In New Zealand?

At Spa World™, we deliver thousands of spas each year and, while many people feel comfortable using their spa without onsite training, we understand that others may prefer expert help with operating and maintaining their new spa. That’s where the Platinum Handover Package comes in.

The Platinum handover is an optional upgrade with a Spa World spa purchase. It includes a general check-up of your spa and your spa set-up.

The Platinum handover happens the same day as delivering your spa. If you’re not sure when the delivery day is, you can check with your Spa World™ Concierge who can give you all the details.

Please note that the power and spa foundation must be all set up – before the spa arrives.

What is included in the Platinum handover?

On delivery day, your spa specialist will take care of installing, setting up and starting your spa.

They will:

  • Fill the spa with water and add the first dose of chemicals
  • Demonstrate how to use the touchpad and any settings
  • Give advice on how to best use your chemicals, and maintain your spa
  • Do a plumbing check to ensure everything is working well and the barrel unions are tight
  • Set your spa steps and cover lifter (if ordered)
  • Remove the spa packaging and rubbish.

What is not included in a Platinum Handover?

There are a few things that are not part of the Platinum Handover that you will be responsible for organising.

The following are not included in a Platinum Handover:

  • Inspecting your spa’s electrical connection is not part of this package. Spa World™ doesn’t offer electrical services including existential bonding of accessories. It is the owner’s responsibility to organise an electrician and associated costs – before the spa arrives.
  • Building a spa foundation, levelling the spa on an uneven foundation & installing CPR signs are also not included in this package.
  • Any installation of accessories – unless included in your original order.

What Spa brands is it available with?

The Platinum handover package is available on all spa pools sold through Spa World™ and that are delivered within 50km of your local Spa World™ showroom. If you’re unsure if this upgrade is right for you please ask one of our friendly sales consultants.
