It has received approval from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) as a safe and effective source of free chlorine for disinfection and sanitisation of water.

Sodium dichloroisocyanurate is more effective at sanitising water than lithium, so you need a smaller portion size to sanitise the same amount of water.
In addition to needing to use a smaller portion, sodium dichloroisocyanurate costs less than lithium, meaning you'll spend less to keep your spa water sparkling clean! The APVMA recommended dosage (at the time of writing) for sodium dichloroisocyanurate is 6g per 1000L of water each day.

Sodium dichloroisocyanurate sanitiser products that are designed for spas and swim spas are specially formulated to function in water temperatures up to 39 degrees celsius. Other types of chlorine loose their effectiveness in warmer water.
