What is the Jacuzzi^® Keypad and how does it work?

The Jacuzzi^® spa controller is the central brain that connects to and runs all of the plumbing equipment in your spa or swim spa.

Commonly referred to as the "Jacuzzi^® keypad", the control panel is connected to the spa's controller or spa pack by a cable that passes through the cabinet beneath the spa itself.

The keypad includes different buttons that allow users to control the temperature, jets, lighting, circulation pumps, filtration systems and other spa features.

The Jacuzzi^® keypad can also alert you to different error messages or alerts that may require you to take action to resolve, making your spa experience even more manageable and enjoyable.

What buttons are on the Jacuzzi^® J-200™ 2022, 2023, and 2024 Models Keypad home menu?

• A. LCD Display: Can display current water temperature (default display), water temperature set point, selected menu functions, and error messages.
• B. Warmer Button: Increases water temperature set point. Increments of 1°F or 0.5°C.
• C. Cooler Button: Decreases water temperature set point. Increments of 1°F or 0.5°C.
• D. Jets 1 Button: Turns jets pump #1 on and off. Press once for low speed; press a second time for high speed; press a third time to turn the pump off.

• Heat icon: Displayed when the heater is on. Flashing while the heater adjusts to temperature changes.
• Ready Mode icon: Allows the hot tub to heat to a set temperature.
• Rest Mode icon: Allows the hot tub to heat only during a filtration cycle. The spa will reach a set temperature-only infiltration.
• Light icon: Displays when the lights are on.
• Cleanup Cycle icon: Displays when a cleanup cycle is active, page 31.
• Jets 1 icon: Displays when Jets pump 1 is on. Press once for low speed; press again for high speed. The pump activates for 20 minutes and then turns off.
• Jets 2 icon: Displays when Jets pump 2 is on. The pump activates for 20 minutes and then turns off.
• Temperature High Range icon: Indicates that the spa is set to a high range temperature between 80°F (26.5°C) and 104°F (40°C).
• Temperature Low Range icon: Indicates that the spa is set to a low range temperature between 65°F (18.5°C) and 99°F (37°C).
• Set icon: Displays when in menus that require programming.
• Filter Cycle icons: Displays when the hot tub is running in a filtration cycle. Either F1 (first filter cycle) or F2 (second filter cycle).
• AM or PM icons: Displays only when in the Set Time Menu. For AM setting an "A" will be shown. For PM setting a "P" will be shown.

How to Set Water Temperature | Jacuzzi^® J-200™ 2022, 2023, and 2024 Models Keypad

Setting the right water temperature in your Jacuzzi^® J-200™ 2022, 2023, and 2024 Models spa is easy and can be done directly from the control panel.

• Step 1. Find the WARMER and COOLER buttons on the control panel.
• Step 2. Press the WARMER (+) button to increase the set temperature.

Each press will increase the temperature by 1°F (0.5°C).

• Step 3. Press the COOLER (-) button to decrease the set temperature.

Each press will decrease the temperature by 1°F (0.5°C). The first press of either button will display the current set temperature.

• Step 4. Continue pressing the appropriate button until you reach your desired temperature.

Important reminders:

• You can set the temperature between 80°F and 104°F (26.5°C to 40°C) in high range, or between 65°F and 99°F (18.5°C to 37°C) in low range.
• Once you've set your desired temperature, the display will return to showing the current water temperature after a few seconds.
• The heater will automatically activate to reach and maintain the new set temperature.
• The spa's default temperature setting is 100°F (38°C). Remember that the actual water temperature may take some time to reach the new set point, depending on the initial water temperature and ambient conditions.

How to activate Jets Pump | Jacuzzi^® J-200™ 2022, 2023, and 2024 Models Keypad

For Jets Pump 1:

• Step 1: Find the JETS 1 (1) button on the control panel.
• Step 2: Press JETS 1 once to activate low speed.
• Step 3: Press JETS 1 a second time to activate high speed.
• Step 4: Press JETS 1 a third time to turn the pump off.

For Jets Pump 2 (if your model has a second pump):

• Step 1: Find the JETS 2 (2) button on the control panel.
• Step 2: Press JETS 2 once to turn the pump on high speed.
• Step 3: Press JETS 2 a second time to turn the pump off.

Note:

• The pumps will automatically turn off after 20 minutes of operation.
• To restart the pumps for another 20-minute session, simply press the JETS buttons again.

How to operate the light features | Jacuzzi^® J-200™ 2022, 2023, and 2024 Models Keypad

• Step 1. Press the Light button once to activate the first light mode.
• Step 2. Continue pressing the Light button to cycle through the following options:
• 7 constant colors
• 3 unique random modes

The light modes cycle as follows with each press:

• Step 3. To turn off the light, after the last press of the button wait for more than 5 seconds and then press the light button again.

Please note: Anytime the spa light is manually activated, it will remain on for 2 hours and then automatically shut off.

How to set Filter Cycle 1 | Jacuzzi^® J-200™ 2022, 2023, and 2024 Models Keypad

• Step 1. From the Main Menu, press the button until you reach the Filter Cycle 1 Menu.
• Step 2. Press (+) or (-) to enter the menu. The display will show BEGN.
• Step 3. Press (+) or (-) to program to start to cycle. The display will show 8:00.
• Step 4. Press (+) or (-) or to make adjustments. In the upper right-hand corner, an or will display. This indicates either AM or PM. You must round the clock to change from am to pm.
• Step 5. Press the Menu button to move on to the minutes. Press or to program the minutes. The display will show 8:15.
• Step 6. Press the Menu button to program the cycle length. The display will show RUN and HRS. Press (+) or (-) to enter the menu.
• Step 7. Press (+) or (-) to program the hour(s) duration of the cycle. The display will show 3:00.
• Step 8. Press the Menu button to program the minutes for the cycle. The display will show 3:00. Press (+) or (-) to make adjustments.
• Step 9. Press the Menu button. The display will show, “F1 ENDS 11:45.” The system calculates the end time base of the hours programmed.
• Step 10. Press (+) or (-) to accept the changes and return to the Main Menu.

Important reminder: Filter cycle 1 has a default start time of 8:00 PM for 4 hours. To change the setting follow the steps below.

How to set Filter Cycle 2 | Jacuzzi^® J-200™ 2022, 2023, and 2024 Models Keypad

• Step 1. From the Main Menu, press the Menu button until you reach the Filter Cycle 2 FLTR Menu.
• Step 2. Press (+) or (-) to enter the menu. The display will show ON. Pressing (+) or (-) will toggle between “OFF” and “ON.” If you select OFF, you will exit the menu. If you select (+) or (-), the display will show BEGN and you will proceed to the programming instructions.
• Step 3. Press (+) or (-) to program to start to cycle. The display will show 8:00. Press or to make adjustments. In the upper right-hand corner, an or will display. This indicates either AM or PM. You must round the clock to change from am to pm.
• Step 4. Press the Menu button to move on to the minutes. Press (+) or (-) to program the minutes. The display will show 8:15.
• Step 5. Press the button to program the cycle length. The display will show RUN and HRS. Press (+) or (-) to enter the menu.
• Step 6. Press (+) or (-) to program the hour(s) duration of the cycle. The display will show 3:00.
• Step 7. Press the button to program the minutes for the cycle. The display will show 3:30. Press (+) or (-) to make adjustments.
• Step 8. Press the Menu button. The display will show, “F2 ENDS 11:45.” The system calculates the end time base of the hours programmed. Press (+) or (-) to set the changes.
• Step 9. Press the Menu button to program the cycle and accept the changes. If the Menu button is not pressed, within a couple of seconds the panel will revert to the Main Menu without saving the changes.

How to turn off Filter Cycle 2 | Jacuzzi^® J-200™ 2022, 2023, and 2024 Models Keypad

• Step 1. From the Main Menu, press the Menu button until you reach the Filter Cycle 2 Menu.
• Step 2. Press or to enter the menu. The display will show ON.
• Step 3. Pressing or will toggle between “OFF” and “ON.” Select off then you will exit the menu.

How to program mode setting | Jacuzzi^® J-200™ 2022, 2023, and 2024 Models Keypad

The new Jacuzzi^® J-200™ is equipped with 2 modes of heating.

• Ready Mode. Allows the heater to heat, at all times, in order to maintain the preset temperature. Indicated by the Ready Mode icon on the Main Menu display. Pump 1 low speed activates periodically to circulate the water and determine the spa temperature.
• Rest Mode. Allows the heater to heat only during a programmed filter cycle. Indicated by the Rest Mode icon on the Main Menu display. If the primary pump has not turned on within an hour, the message “RUN PUMP FOR TEMP -- -- -- --” will appear on the display. Pressing the Jets Pump 2 button will activate the pump and heater so the temperature can be sensed and displayed.

Please note: When the spa is in Rest Mode and the Jets Pump 1 button is pressed, the spa will heat to either the set temperature or for one hour. Both icons will be shown on the display. After the 1-hour time-out and automatic clean-up cycle the spa will return to Rest Mode.

How to switch between Ready and Rest Mode | Jacuzzi^® J-200™ 2022, 2023, and 2024 Models Keypad

• Step 1: From the Main Menu, press the Menu button twice to enter the Mode Menu.
• Step 2. Press the (+) or (-) button to toggle between Ready Mode “R” and Rest Mode.
• Step 3. Once the mode is selected, press the Menu button to accept the change and return to the Main Menu.

How to set the time | Jacuzzi^® J-200™ 2022, 2023, and 2024 Models Keypad

• Step 1. Press the Menu button 3 times until you get to the “SET TIME/TIME” Menu. The display will scroll “SET TIME” at start up or anytime the power to the spa is turned off and on.
• Step 2. Press (+) or (-) to prepare the system for changes.
• Step 3. The display will change from “SET TIME” to 8:57. The hour will be flashing. Press (+) or (-) to adjust the hour. In the upper right-hand corner, an A or P will be displayed. This indicates either AM or PM.
• Step 4. Press the Menu button to set the minutes. The display will change from 8:57 to 8:57 . The minutes will be flashing. Press or to adjust the minutes. Press (+) or (-) to accept the change and return to the main.
• Step 5. To check the time, press the Menu button until you get to the Time Menu. The display will alternate between “TIME” and the current time.

• Step 2. Press (+) or (-) to enter the menu. The display will show “F/C.”

Your spa has three maintenance reminders:

• Change Water - every 125 day
• Change Filter - every 180 days
• Change UV Bulb - every 365 days

To set these reminders, follow the steps below:

• Step 1. From the Main Menu, press the button until you reach “PREF.”
• Step 2. Press or to enter the menu. Then press the button until you get to the “REMINDERS” display.
• Step 3. Press or to select and toggle between “YES” and “NO.”
• Step 4. Once you make your selection, press the Menu button to accept the change.
• Step 5. Once the timer expires and the reminder appears on the display, press (+) or (-) to reset the timer.

How to change Cleanup Cycle Duration | Jacuzzi^® J-200™ 2022, 2023, and 2024 Models Keypad

• Step 1. From the Main Menu, press the button until you reach “PREF.”
• Step 2. Press or to enter the menu. Then press the button until you get to the “CLN UP” display.
• Step 3. Press (+) or (-) to move through the duration’s settings of 0.5H up to 4.0H, in increments of 30 minutes.
• Step 4. Once you make your selection, press the button to accept the change and revert back to the “PREF” Menu.

• Step 2. If both the temperature and panel are locked, you will need to perform the unlock procedure twice.
